I can confirm this as well, from a magneto-site with Sansha derelicts. I once found another magneto-site, and the derelicts there would open with a salvager. This is obviously a bug.

I like the idea of having a seperate ore-cargo-bay. You certainly can't fill up a ship with ore as they fill up a ship with grain here on earth, so a special bulk-cargo hold would make sense. You'd squash the battleship miners in one swoop, since ...
